Before now, my interest in human psyche has always got me curious about what goes on in the mind of a mad person. Each time I see one walking aimlessly, ransacking a dump site or just unbothered, dirty, dusty, naked, soliloquizing or exhibiting a strange "madman" behavior, the question pops up once again, a curiosity that has remained with me unraveled with no chances of discovering till this day, what chaos or tranquility exists in the mind of an insane person.
And honestly I've moved on from that mind bugging question, cause one, I simply can't see through the mind of a madman and Two, I barely see any mad man/woman these days to an extent that is evident, until I came to Enugu.
I've been in Enugu for a while now and I can say it with my full chest that Enugu has a lot of mentally ill people roaming the streets. it's just hard to miss if you are an observer. Move a short distance and you must just spot at least two or three.
like I said, where I'm coming from, I barely see a mad person roaming or living by the road with dangling genitals on display or just walking casually on the streets like they are normal, you could just walk pass one on the road tatteredly dressed and it feels so weird that these people are just out there allowed to roam. I even get confused if these people are really mad or just dirty and unkempt.
Studies have shown that an insane person looses touch with reality as regards to how they perceive their environment accompanied by Hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thoughts, unusual behaviors Etc it is really not cool that they mingle freely like they don't have erratic behaviors.
I find it strange that for a beautiful city as this one of the first things I noticed since I came into this City is the number of Mad people allowed to roam or should I say, mad looking people? I really don't know. I could easily spot more than five mentally deranged persons not aggressive looking though, just going about their daily mad people schedule. now, I'm not only bugged by what goes on in their disjointed minds but why they seem to be much in this City.

Lol... getting this to the right channels will help. Nice piece though
