What kind of a Movie lover are you?

I recently discovered the genre psychological thrillers and I've gotten hooked. Quite often, I'm intrigued on how the mind works, so I'll read some books on psychology. All I can say is the human mind is quite interesting and unpredictable. though some patterns and behaviours are predictable due to extensive studies and research on brain patterns and human behaviours over time by Neuroscientists. Despite all that, There's always this uniqueness to individual thought patterns and behaviours that may just stand out. My love for movies can be traced way back from my childhood days. I was a quiet child that didn't like to play much. Watching cartoons and children's programs was one of my favourite activities because I get to learn and know things I didn't know before. I guess I didn't know I was just the curious type.

The movie genres that I find interesting while growing up till adulthood are fantasy, sci-fi. I have added psychodrama to the list. There's just this thought provoking effect after you have watched a good fantasy, sci-fi or a psychodrama. It leaves you fascinated and wondering at the complexity of human reasoning and imagination. I love me that, something thought provoking.

Fantasy genre brings the producer's imagination to life. Typically involves imaginative elements such as magic, mythical creatures, or supernatural phenomena set in fictional worlds. It often explores themes of heroism, good versus evil, and the quest for identity or destiny. Fantasy allows for escapism and the exploration of speculative ideas beyond the constraints of reality. I find it all captivating to know the depths one's imagination can go. 

In Sci-fi movies, technical Advancement and futuristic imagination are put in play. The science fiction genre focuses on speculative or futuristic concepts that are grounded in science, technology, or the future possibilities of humanity. It often explores themes such as space exploration, time travel, advanced technologies, alternative realities, and the impact of scientific advancements on society and individuals. Sci-fi leaves me wondering about the potential consequences of scientific progress and to see possible futures for humanity. (Lol. Like an Alien or Zombie invasion.😛)

Then there's psychodrama which explores human behaviours and the human mind. Psychodrama is a genre that delves into the psychological aspects of characters and their inner worlds. It often explores themes related to mental health, trauma, identity, and interpersonal relationships. Characters in psychodrama stories often undergo intense emotional experiences or confrontations with their past, leading to personal growth or transformation. The genre may involve elements of drama, suspense, and psychological exploration to delve into the complexities of the human psyche.

I'm always happy getting movie recommendations that are under any of my favourite genres as it stirs up my curiosity. I want to know what is new in the world of imagination and the human mind. I'm a movie lover driven by a need to know, so what kind of Movie lover are you?
