Living in an Anxious society.


As our faces differ so are our problems. We see Anonymous confessions of people on social media every day, that will give you a clue of the challenges that people pass through daily, now imagine all those left unsaid. Just ask anyone what challenges they face and get ready to get your ears filled (that's if they are  willing to share their problems). You will be shocked as to the kind of experiences and problems people face daily. Everyone is actually going through one or two. We are living in a world where we are constantly expectant, have wants and needs to cater for. 


The pressures of living are numerous, as we are existing in a world full of uncertainties, battling with insecurities, the harsh economy, working tirelessly to make ends meet, trying to succeed, make money and live more comfortably. It's endless, till perhaps the day we die. Reality vs expectation may throw a blow at us. Things will sometimes not go as planned, life cannot be balanced, certain, and perfect. Sometimes, life don't give you what you want. That's the way it is. Don't be hard on yourself. 


Truth is when we fail to meet the expectations, wants and needs, we worry,  the pressure snowballs into Anxiety. Anxiety is the distress we experience emotionally as a result of the pressure life exerts on us. And it's a perfectly normal occurrence, it's natural because life challenges are inevitable. But how we handle the pressure is what really matters. Making good plans, learning to improve oneself, working hard and achieving set goals, making money, having valuable relationships with people are all part of the ways to reduce the harsh effects of life. To live comfortably and happy, contentment seems to be  key. 


You can't do this world alone, No. that's why we need somebody. No man is an island. We need family, friends and loved ones to get us through and make life more meaningful. That's what makes living beautiful. Knowing that you aren't alone in this is so relieving, no one has got it all figured out. So, since we all are in this together, what we actually need is each other. 


With all said, Try and be Nice. Have someone to relate to,  friends, family, relatives. Network, have a social circle, keep it, develop good habits and Routines, exercise. Enjoy friendship, companionships, relationships. Show Love, empathy, Support and Care for each other. That's how we're all going to get through living in this anxious society.
